LORNA EASTON

Lorna EastonBefore Blue Sail, Lorna was best-known for her work as Director of Marketing for UK and Ireland with the Scottish Tourist Board (now VisitScotland) - and for the innovative Futures Department she set up for STB, where she pioneered an approach that integrated future trend-spotting, market analysis and segmentation to guide marketing planning.

Over the last 7 years as a destination consultant, Lorna has specialised in strategic marketing, and bringing a market focus to Blue Sail's work on strategies and structures. She leads Blue Sail's marketing and branding strategy work with regional and national clients.

MICHELE GRANT

Michele GrantA consultant for more than 15 years, Michele specialises in strategy and development, advising places on futures scenarios, visioning, strategic direction, policy and destination management. She has a track record helping to transform cultural cities and towns, and a passion for working with heritage destinations.

Michele's practical and industry-focused approach springs from her in-house experience in business support in London, advising SMEs in the service sectors and creative industries. Her tourism career started as Development Manager at the English Tourist Board (now VisitEngland), where she was responsible for the strategic development of urban tourism, and she has also headed up tourism development for Scottish Enterprise Fife.

GRAHAM NICHOLSON

Graham NicholsonGraham has a background in museums and historic houses, before becoming a director of leisure and cultural services for local authorities. After a period as a Director at Marketing Manchester he moved into consultancy some twelve years ago.

He specialises in organisations and structures - from partnership development to business planning and finance. And he leads Blue Sail's destination development work - bringing the visitor perspective to our work with all kinds of destinations, from museums and attractions, to forests and trails, to market towns, resorts and cities.


AMANDA SHEPHERD

Amanda ShepherdAmanda made her destination name re-branding Brighton during the 90s, achieving an unprecedented level of support from the city's tourism industry. Following a career in the private sector, she was Brighton's destination marketing manager and Head of Tourism, Conferences & City Marketing up to 2003, when she moved into destination consultancy.

These days Amanda works with place makers and marketers around the country. As well as strategy and action planning, she leads Blue Sail's work designing and delivering innovative workshops, think tanks for partnerships, teams, boards and destination stakeholders.
